Hi Kim!
Thanks for bringing your planning questions to planDisney! It sounds like you are preparing to celebrate big while you’re at Walt Disney World and I’d love to help you get a few things sorted out.
Since you mentioned a California Grill fireworks package, you may be referring to
Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle. This event is described as a cocktail party featuring small bites and dishes from California Grill with a private observation deck for Celebration at the Top Guests to view
Happily Ever After. The Celebration at the Top is offered on select nights, and dates are currently only listed through March.
If you’d prefer to book
California Grill to experience the regular menu, you can still try to book your meal to line up with the scheduled fireworks time. The
Hours & Events Calendar is typically updated 60 days in advance, which is also
when you can book your dining reservations. My fellow panelists have previously recommended booking California Grill around 60 minutes prior to the fireworks start time so you can simply walk out onto the balcony to enjoy the show.
I recently spoke with
Disney PhotoPass Service about having a photographer take photos in California Grill and unfortunately, that is not offered at this time. I recommend asking your server to take some table-side photos for you, or asking a fellow guest when you are outside on the balcony.
I hope this helps, Kim! Keep an eye on the Hours & Events Calendar and prepare to book your dining 60 days before your arrival! If you have any more questions, please
come back and see me at planDisney!
