We are visiting in may and staying off site. We want to book a Disney property for 1 night so we get a full Disney experience for our little girl.. Can I ask, if we only book for 1 night, are we still able to book the 7am lightning pass the next morning?

    Hi Michael! Welcome to planDisney!

You and your little girl are in for such a magical time when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort, especially now during its 50th Anniversary! I think it's a lovely idea to stay directly inside the magic for at least a night while you're visiting! With so many Disney Resorts Collections hotels to choose from you'll be able to find one that fits your budget and her fantasy.

When choosing a Disney Resort, it's all about your preference.  If you're looking to stay as close to the magic as possible, you might want to choose a Resort right on the Monorail loop.  Some of these Resorts put you within walking distance of Magic Kingdom and you might even have a view of Cinderella Castle out your window! Disney's Contemporary ResortDisney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, are also all Disney Deluxe Resorts, meaning that you and your party would be entitled to even more benefits, such as Extended Theme Park Hours, reserved only for Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts.  Make sure to check out the schedule of which Parks are open late on which days if you plan to use this benefit on the night of your stay!

Staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel comes with other benefits too! Not only will you receive complimentary transportation around the entire Resort, but you might also see some of your favorite Disney characters out and about! When you stay at a Disney Resort, you are also welcome to enter any Park 30 minutes early with Early Theme Park Entry, BOTH the day you check-in as well as the day you check-out of the Resort.  So, to answer your question specifically, yes, you will still be able to use Genie+ to book your Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane selections at 7 a.m. the morning you wake up in your Disney Resort Guest room!

I hope your trip turns out to be as magical as it sounds! Enjoy every moment!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
