We will be visiting in May 2015 with myself, husband, and 2 boys 10 and 1 1/2. I want to go somewhere with a really good steak dinner (preferably resort - not in a park) for my husband. Recommendations? Can the kids eat at signature restaurants? Thanks!

    Hi Christina,

Dining is my family's favorite Walt Disney World activity, and I'm happy to help you find a great steak in a resort.

The obvious choice is the Yachtsman Steakhouse in the Yacht Club resort. As the name implies, steaks are the specialty, and they are large and delicious. The sides are served family style, and we've found the service here exceptional.

We also really like the filet mignon at California Grill at the Contemporary resort; the bison steak at Artist Point (when it's available); the filet or the short ribs at Jiko in Animal Kingdom Lodge; and the flat iron steak at The Wave in the Contemporary. (The Wave also has a filet; we've just never eaten it there.)

If you want to eat inside a theme park, Le Cellier in Epcot is one of our favorites for steak.

Your whole family will be made welcome at the signature restaurants across Walt Disney World. We've been taking both our girls since they were small.

To my knowledge, only Victoria & Albert's has an age limit (guests must be at least 10). My recommendation is to choose a dining reservation time when you think your little one will be most amenable to a meal that takes 60 to 90 minutes.

I suggest you review the menus of these restaurants to see which might be most to your liking. You will find the menus on the Walt Disney World website and on unofficial sites as well. One of my favorites is AllEars.net.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help as you make your plans. Enjoy!
