Hello, We are visiting in March 2015 the 15th thru the 20th. Is it possible to see world of color and the firework show in the same night?

    Hi Nicole!

This is such a fun question to answer because my teenager and I were attempting to see World of Color and the fireworks in the same night this past summer on a warm Friday night. It took a bit of planning, a solid strategy and a decent pair of running shoes.

With World of Color set to re-open after it’s enhancements around March 13, 2015 (dates subject to change) it will probably have a bigger crowd than it’s already large viewing so I would recommend getting a FASTPASS early in the day over by Grizzly River Run. You can also secure at FASTPASS by purchasing a World of Color Dining Package at Wine Country Trattoria, Ariel's Grotto, or Carthay Circle Restaurant. You will want the earliest show time offered, which is typically around 8PM on a Friday or Saturday evening. Double check the times of the show at the park on the day you are attending to make sure they are offering the two show times.

The show itself is just under 30 minutes long, but there are going to be a lot of people all leaving at the same time, so plan your exit strategy accordingly. My son and I made a bee-line to Buena Vista Street and kept a fast walking pace. We then used our park hopper tickets to get into Disneyland Park and made it to main street just as the show was starting. We didn’t make it very far into the park, but watched from a distance near the train station.

My son and I try to think that nothing is impossible with a little magic & pixie dust and were able to cross off one of our “Disney Bucket List” items that night together!

Let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!
