We're visiting Magic Kingdom with our 5 yr old & almost 2 yr old. How long does it take to walk to Fantasyland from the main entrance vs. riding the train there? We'll have a double stroller too.

Hi Sara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

This is a great question because there are a lot of variables. I just got back from my own Walt Disney World Vacation with my 2-year-old and my parents, and there were times when it we made the journey from the Magic Kingdom Park turnstiles to Dumbo The Flying Elephant in Fantasyland in 15 minutes. It can take longer, if like my dad, you stop and look at every store, shop, kiosk and cart on your journey. Also take note of the many wonderful parades, stage shows, and Magical Moments that pop-up during the day between these two areas that are worthy of a quick stop. The Dapper Dans, Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, The Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party, and more!

The Walt Disney World Railroad is also a wonderful option, not just as a leisurely ride or to enjoy one of Walt Disney's many passions, but as a great way to rest little legs (and big legs) while getting to your next destination. The entire journey around the park is about 20 minutes, but add about 5 minutes to that for the stop you'll make at the Frontierland Station to pick up new friends.

Definitely download the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Not only will you be able to control the majority of your day from this app, you'll also have access to a GPS enabled map that will give you a real-time estimate of how far a walk you are away from your destination.

I hope you're getting excited about your Disney Days Sara, and We'll See You Real Soon!
