Hi Brianna,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I bet your 5-year old has enough excitement for the whole family!
I have great news - you can leave the park and return to that same park later in the day or evening using a base ticket. When we took our girls on their first trip, they still needed an afternoon nap, so we left the parks every afternoon, went back to the resort hotel to take a nap, then returned to the park at night. Even though our girls are older now and do not need to nap, we still leave the parks and return to the resort hotel to enjoy some time in the pool, then we head back to the park at night!
If you have not done so already, create a My Disney Experience Account and link all of your group via the My Family and Friends List. Then, link everyone's tickets in My Disney Experience using the My Reservations and Tickets link. Once you have all of the tickets linked, get ready to make
Fast Pass+ selections 60 days prior to your trip. Finally, I suggest you make at least one advanced dining reservation for a character meal. Our girls love The Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table.
Brianna, if you do return for the fireworks, be sure to look for a viewing spot at least an hour and a half prior to the
Happily Ever After show. If you can, watch the
Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party before the fireworks show. Get ready to break out your best dance moves!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
