Hi Melissa!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! This is a wonderful question and I had not thought about this situation before, but I have done some investigating for you! Please know that
Disney Property Rules define a service animal as one that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist a
Guest with a disability. At this time, emotional support, comfort or companion animals are not considered service animals. Animals must be on a leash or harness and under the control of the owner at all times. Did you know that in addition to service dogs, Guests may bring their service miniature horse?
You’ll be happy to hear that are many attractions where your service dog will be allowed to ride with you! Disney does have a
list of attractions where service animals are not allowed and a few where you should proceed with caution. Most of these attractions are thrill type attractions or those with height restrictions, or that may have loud or sudden noises.
For attractions on which service animals may not ride, Disney recommends you talk with a Cast Member at the attraction. You may utilize the
Rider Switch option, or a small kennel may be available for your four legged Guest.
You’ll also find designated relief areas throughout the parks to keep your service animal comfortable. And did you know that you can get a free glass of ice water at any quick-service location? Be sure to keep everyone hydrated during your visit!
I hope this helps your planning, and please let us know what additional questions we can help with!
Have a Disney Day!
