We are visiting Magic Kingdom for the first time in May. I'd like to see the Dream Come True parade and then leave to go back to our hotel. Where is the best place to watch the parade and be able to exit the park easily when it's over?

Hi ya, Tracy! You are going to freak! FIRST VISIT?! Squee!!

Celebrate a Dream Come True parade is one of my family's favorites. I love the jingle and I even get a little teary at times. (There's nothing wrong with shedding some man tears, right?)

Taking a midday break is the way to go. It gives the kids and the adults a chance to recharge their batteries at a time when the parks are at their busiest. And, midday breaks help extend your park time at night because you feel refreshed.

Our favorite place to watch the parade is on the sidewalk between Harmony Barber Shop and the Emporium exit. There's a tree there that can even lend some much needed shade. You'll see the floats passing right in front of you with plenty of interaction opportunities with characters on foot. When the parade is finished passing you, you can cross the street near the fire station and proceed to the exit.
