We are visiting Magic Kingdom on April 18th. Our goal is for my three-year-old to meet Mickey. Are we able to make reservations to meet Mickey in town square? If not, are we able to use a fast pass in line to meet Mickey at Town Square? What do u advise

    Hey there, hi there Heather!

Watching your child meet Mickey Mouse for the first time is definitely a magical moment that leads to some precious memories! Right now it is possible to meet your favorite iconic character; however, meet and greets look a little different. Although things could change in the next couple of months, characters currently stay socially distant when interacting with guests, which means no hugs, and they are not signing autographs at this time. They will still do an amazing job interacting with your little one, and you'll still get some great photos!

There are a couple of ways to meet Mickey. He is greeting guests daily at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom. Guests stand in queue to meet their favorite mouse. If you want to skip the standby line, you can purchase Disney's Genie+ and book a Lightning Lane reservation that will let you hop in a much shorter line.

Character dining is another fun way to meet Mickey and some of his other pals. While you enjoy your meal, characters will stop near your table to interact and take a fun, socially distant photo. We recently had breakfast at Tusker House and had a fantastic time meeting Mickey, Goofy, Daisy, and Donald. Mickey can be seen at Garden Grill in EPCOT, Topolino's Terrace for breakfast at Disney's Riviera Resort, Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, and Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios for lunch and dinner (breakfast features Playhouse Disney characters). You can make dining reservations beginning 60 days in advance.

Hope this helps. Mickey can't wait to, "See you real soon!"

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
