We will be visiting Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios in November for my parents 50th Anniversary. I am a DVC member and wanting to know what I can do to make the visit extra special for them?

    Hey There, John!

It's always nice when fellow Disney Vacation Club Members drop by planDisney for a visit –– thanks for bringing us your question today.  I can't tell you how excited I am to hear that you're planning to celebrate your parents' 50th wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort.  Several years ago, my brother and I surprised our parents with a family trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth for their own 50th anniversary, and that visit will forever be one of my favorite Disney memories of all time!

Since there's no doubt that a special anniversary celebration deserves a little extra fanfare, let me share a few ways you can use your Disney Vacation Club Membership to shower your family with pixie dust during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit.  If you're looking for a unique experience for your whole crew, you might consider booking a Disney Vacation Club Enchantment Fireworks Cruise.  These intimate voyages take place on Wednesday nights and include champagne and treats, before setting sail on the Seven Seas Lagoon for a special viewing of the Disney Exchantement Fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park. Since space is limited and advance reservations are required, be sure to contact Member Services at (800) 800-9800 for more details and to reserve your spot.

For another great view of Disney Enchantment, you might also consider spending a devilishly delightful evening at Member-exclusive Top of the World Lounge - A Villians Lair, located atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The Lounge is open to eligible Members who are using their Membership to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel on a first-come basis each evening beginning at 6 PM.  However, if you decide to come early and leave, you'll also be able to present your receipt later in the evening for a breathtaking view of the fireworks from the Lounge's rooftop terrace.

And beyond these Member-exclusive experiences, don't forget that your Member Benefits include great dining and shopping discounts at restaurants across Walt Disney World Resort. So, whether your family is sitting down to a celebratory meal or your parents are looking for the perfect souvenir to commemorate both The World's Most Magical Celebration and their own golden wedding anniversary, you'll be able to use your DVC membership to add an extra spoonful of sugar and make your family's visit as sweet as can be.  For a full list of all the Membership Extras available to you, be sure to check out the Member Benefits section of the Disney Vacation Club website before you arrive.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, John.  I hope these suggestions help to add a little magic to your visit and I'm wishing you lots of pixie dust during your family's special celebration at Walt Disney World Resort!
