We are visiting in late November and are staying off property. I'd love to spend a day or two experiencing the resorts (without staying there)...what are some of the best ideas for resort hopping? Kids age 4, 8, 14.

    Hi Stephanie,

The holidays are a lovely time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. My family shared a magical vacation just this past December and it seemed like there was just something extra special in the air when pixie dust and holiday joy collided.

We stayed at Disney's Yacht Club Resort and I was really impressed at how beautiful both our lobby and the lobby of nearby Disney's Beach Club Resort were decorated. We especially enjoyed the small train village and gingerbread display. What makes these resorts extra special is that if you are planning on visiting Epcot, you can simply walk out of the International Gateway entrance to enjoy these resorts. Disney's BoardWalk area is a fun place to spend some time, take some beautiful pictures and even enjoy a delicious meal.

Have an enchanting vacation, Stephanie, and please visit us again with any other questions you may have.

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
