Welcome to planDisney, Amy!
One of the most magical things about the Walt Disney World Resort is that sometimes the adventure begins before the ride even starts! Many of the queues are themed so brilliantly, they feel like an attraction unto themselves. At
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, you’ll walk through Mama Odie’s potion pantry and smell sweet beignets wafting through the air. The
Avatar Flight of Passage queue winds past bioluminescent plants and relaxing waterfalls. At
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, you’ll shrink down to the size of a rat and feel like you're scurrying through the rooftops of Paris. And don't forget
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, where the eerie atmosphere and vintage Hollywood hotel vibes set the scene long before the drop. These immersive spaces can be just as memorable as the rides themselves!
Now, when it comes to Lightning Lane access, every Guest who enters the Lightning Lane queue must have a valid Lightning Lane selection, whether it's through
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass, even if they don’t plan to ride. That means if your 10-year-old is joining you in the Lightning Lane, they’ll need a Lightning Lane reservation for that experience too. If they don’t have one, Cast Members will kindly redirect them to enjoy the magic elsewhere whilst you and your thrill-seeker ride.
But not to worry, there are plenty of fun alternatives for your 10-year-old to enjoy nearby whilst they wait! Many attractions have nearby interactive areas, snack spots, shaded seating areas, or even a store at the end of the ride.
I hope that's clarifying, Amy. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
Mike
