Hello! We'll be visiting in June "09(for 7 days) for the 1st time 2 adults/2 children 5&7. Which hotel do you think would give us the best experience for our 1st time visit? GF/DBC or Boardwalk inn?I'd like to consider transp, dining & ammeniti

How exciting you are planning for your June trip to Walt Disney World!

The choices you have narrowed down for your accommodations are all excellent resorts.  For the last eight or nine years my family has stayed at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts in the Boardwalk area.  The benefit of staying here is that you can walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios (one mile walkway) or take the water taxis to both.  Stormalong Bay is the pool at the Yacht and Beach and many consider this the best pool on property.  With EPCOT being so close you have many dining options just a short walk away.

However, with your children being young their main focus will undoubtedly be the Magic Kingdom and staying at a resort close to that park is convenient.  The Grand Floridian is a beautiful Victorian style hotel that many think is also Disney's best.  You have a monorail that you can use to get to the Magic Kingdom and also EPCOT by changing at the Transportation and Ticket Center.  There are two pools as well as the best spa on property!  There are numerous dining options right in the resort from casual to the finest and then many more in the neighboring resorts of the Contemporary and Polynesian.  The recreation boating possibilities are more extensive at the Grand then the Boardwalk area since the waterways are much larger.

Staying at any of the resorts is magical.  Basically it will be a decision based on what park you prefer to be closest to from your hotel.  Have a wonderful stay!
