Hiya Denise,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited that the
water park benefit is back for resort hotel Guests to enjoy at check-in as part of
Cool KID’S SUMMER. I actually took my then two-year-old and my then two-month-old to Blizzard Beach last year for the very first time. My oldest had a blast in Tike’s Peak, and even though my youngest was too little to enjoy most of the water park, he did enjoy the water on his little toes.
During that first visit, my youngest spent most of the time in a baby carrier or being held, but you will be happy to know, Denise, that I confirmed with a Cast Member and strollers are permitted at
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (and Typhoon Lagoon). However, they do not have stroller rentals available there, so you will need to bring your own. Also, keep in mind that your stroller must not exceed 31” wide by 52” long, and stroller wagons are still
prohibited, as in the theme parks. I also recommend making sure your stroller can maneuver well over sand. While there are concrete paths at Blizzard Beach, there are also sandy areas, so you will want to make sure your stroller can move easily through those in case your littlest grandchild is napping and you need to push them to your lounge chairs.
I hope this was helpful, Denise. Before I let you go, don’t forget to bring along a stroller fan for naps in the stroller (or be prepared to do laps around
Beach Haus). July can get pretty toasty in Orlando, and there are no
Baby Care Centers at Blizzard Beach. I found that if my littles weren’t in the water, he got pretty toasty, so having a fan or taking breaks in the gift shop was incredibly helpful for keeping him cool. I hope that you have a magical time making memories with your grandchildren. My almost four-year-old always wants her Nana and Pop Pop to come with us to Walt Disney World, and it makes me smile that she associates the magic with them. If you need anything else, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
