Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Micah!
I'm happy to help your family plan your summer trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Based on the
Park Rules, children under the age of 7 must be accompanied on an attraction by a person 14 years old or over. So your Mouseketeers who are 8 and 9 years old do not need an adult to ride with them. This means that your family will have flexibility in how you arrange yourselves on attraction vehicles. In many cases, ride vehicles accommodate three Guests. In other cases, attraction vehicles will accommodate four Guests in two rows. Cast Members in the attraction queue can help you determine how your family can best enjoy that attraction.
Since you are traveling with little guys, you will be able to take advantage of
Rider Switch. This will allow your bigger kids to enjoy attractions that the little ones may not be interested in or do not meet the height requirements for. Simply, proceed to the queue entrance, notify the Cast Member that you will be using Rider Switch and they will give you instructions. After the first group in your family rides, the adults will be able to switch so everyone can enjoy the attraction as well.
Take a look at this
list of height requirements of the attractions in the theme parks to aid in your trip planning. And let us know if you have any more questions before your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
