Hi there, Joanne, and welcome to planDisney! It's wonderful that you've found your way to us with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You'll be arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few days - have you packed your suitcases yet?
Joanne, you'll be happy to know that you're welcome to bring an umbrella with you to the Disney Theme Parks. I'd keep it on the small side to make it easier to carry around and not interfere with other Guests walking nearby. On a rainy day at the parks, I prefer to wear shorts and sturdy waterproof sandals because these items tend to dry faster than pants and tennis shoes with socks. I've recently seen Guests wearing waterproof shoe covers, though I've never personally tried them! If it looks like there will be heavy rain, I recommend wearing a rain jacket with a poncho on top. Happily, I have found that rain can deter some of the crowds, so you might experience that as well!
There are plenty of indoor activities at the parks! You can spend lots of time in the Land Pavilion at EPCOT, where you'll find
Soarin' Around the World and
Living With the Land. At Magic Kingdom,
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor are two indoor attractions near each other in Tomorrowland. Animal Kingdom offers wonderful shows like "
Festival of the Lion King" and "
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond!" If you're heading to Hollywood Studios, be sure to check out
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.
Joanne, I hope this is helpful to you as you plan your vacation! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See you real soon!
Jennifer
