    I am visiting on January 7th and have reservations for a character dinner at 9pm at Disney Contemporary resort. I see that the fireworks start at 8pm and last about 15 minutes. Do you think we will have time to make a 9pm dinner?

    Hi Andrea!

    This is a great question. The good news is the Contemporary Resort is only a 5 minute walk from the Magic Kingdom. You will definitely want to walk and not take the monorail. The bad news is a lot of guests will want to leave right at the end of Wishes, the fireworks show. It is generally very crowded leaving the park at that time. I suggest watching the fireworks from the beginning of Main Street right in front of the train station. That will make it a lot easier for you to leave!
