Hi there, Anna! Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sharing your question. I completely understand, because live entertainment and nighttime spectaculars are always on the top of my priority list whenever I am planning my own
Disneyland Resort vacation.
I see that you're arriving toward the middle of January. I wish I could say otherwise, but I'm seeing the same information you are on the Hours & Events Calendar indicating that no
firework spectaculars or parades are currently scheduled for your visit dates. As you might know, Disneyland Resort is gearing up for its big 70th Anniversary a bit later this year, and it's possible that the entertainment team is simply winding down from the holiday seasonal offerings before launching into the
Celebrate Happy entertainment coming this Spring. I am so sorry if that is disappointing news and I wish I had more answers for you, Anna! Schedules and showtimes can change at any time, so you can always reference the Disneyland mobile app while you're on-site to see if there are any updates.
In the meantime, let me share a few of my favorite atmosphere entertainment offerings around the theme parks. In Disneyland Park, I love hearing the barbershop quartet songs performed by the Dapper Dans along Main Street, U.S.A. I've even seen them riding some of the Main Street vehicles while they whistle a tune! You'll often also find the Disneyland Band marching down Main Street, U.S.A. or performing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, sometimes with a few character friends! While you're there near Fantasyland, check out Storytelling at Royal Theatre for beloved (and often hilarious) reenactments of Disney stories like
Tangled and
Beauty and the Beast. Again, you can check the Disneyland mobile app for the next available showtime. Over in Disney California Adventure Park, some of the most immersive entertainment I've experienced is over at
Avenger's Campus, where your favorite superheroes are often found wandering, looking for their next recruit.
I know it isn't exactly a parade or fireworks, but I hope these are some helpful suggestions for now. Again, I highly encourage you to check the Disneyland mobile app and refer back to the Hours & Events Calendar as your visit dates approach so that you can see any updates that might be made to the entertainment offerings between now and then. I'm wishing you and your family an absolutely magical visit to Disneyland Resort! If we can help with anything else, please don't hesitate to drop by
planDisney again soon.
Magically yours,
Tishra
