    Visiting Jan. '15 and am curious about MagicBands. What are the dimensions/length? Also, do you get them when you buy your tickets or do you order them separately (we're not staying at Disney)? Is there an extra cost to them? Thanks!

    Hi Lori,

    The MagicBands are one size fits all. They measure about 9 1/2 inches in length, but have lots of room for adjustment. In addition, the center part of the band peels out to make a smaller band that's a better size for kids.

    Right now, MagicBands are not being offered to guests staying off property. You can, however, purchase the bands in the theme parks, and a cast member can help you activate it.

    I used the MagicBands recently and was so impressed with how convenient they are.
