My family visits Walt Disney World often in January, and the weather can be variable. It usually can have highs in the lower 70s and lows into the 40s. This can make for some cool mornings, and we always bring clothes we can layer. I would recommend bringing hats, scarves, and gloves this time of year as once the sun goes down, it gets chilly! I did speak with a Cast Member at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and she stated that in the winter, Disney heats its pool although she couldn't give me a temperature. Honestly, I have never swam this time of the year but my kids have and loved it! You will love splitting your vacation at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Old Key West. They are both fantastic resorts and themed so differently, you will feel like you are on two very different vacations. The pools at each of these resorts are amazing, and even if you do not swim, you will need to check them out! I know your vacation will be just magical, Adelle!
Visit Walt Disney World Resort to explore the magic.
