Visiting Jan 2010 with our 2 boys 8 & 4. Planning a day at the Animal Kingdom, and want to have dinner @ Boma, is it feasible to spend the day, go back mid-afternoon for a rest at our hotel (Bay Lake Tower) and then return via bus or taxi for dinner? T

    Hi Wendy!

I am so jealous!  I had an opportunity to tour Bay Lake Towers a few months ago, and thought the villas were amazing!  I'm guessing your family will enjoy a fabulous visit!  I think your plan is completely feasible.  Boma is one of my family's favorite buffet restaurants at Disney, as it offers a huge variety of creative choices that are unique to the restaurant.  Animal Kingdom Lodge has a magnificent lobby, magnificent savannas, and is a great resort to explore before or after your dinner.  It would certainly be faster to head to the Lodge via taxi from Bay Lake Tower, however, you could also walk or take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and switch to a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge from the park.  If you take a taxi, I would allow about 25 minutes from the time you hop in.  If you use Disney transportation, I would increase the time to about 50 minutes to ensure you make your reservation.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
