Greetings, World Traveler!
A warm welcome to planDisney. We're delighted you've dropped by with a wonderful
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! Having just checked out of Disney's Yacht Club Resort, your question brought a smile to my face, Marybeth. The areas surrounding Crescent Lake are some of my favorite locations on Walt Disney World Resort property! I'd be happy to help you navigate your perfect Disney day.
It sounds like you have an exciting day of park-hopping ahead! Your plan to leave your vehicle at Disney's Hollywood Studios during the day is a great one, Marybeth. You have a myriad of different options to get between this park and EPCOT, including the
FriendShip Boats, the Disney Skyliner, and a peaceful walking path. Generally, the FriendShip Boats run for approximately one hour past Disney's Hollywood Studios and/or EPCOT close - whichever comes later. For example, on an evening when both theme parks close at 9:00 p.m., I'd expect the FriendShip Boats to operate until approximately 10:00 p.m., weather permitting. Be sure to check the
Hours & Events Calendar to plan accordingly!
Marybeth, if you miss the last boat of the evening, don't fret. Simply hop aboard a gondola on the
Disney Skyliner, which usually operates for 90 minutes after EPCOT and/or Disney's Hollywood Studios close for the day! Alternatively, you could enjoy a quiet, leisurely stroll along the riverfront between these two locations. Having recently done each of these three options, I can share that they typically take about the same amount of time (about 25 minutes for me).
I hope you've found this information helpful, Marybeth. I'm wishing you a magical and memorable vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any additional questions ahead of your holiday, you can always revisit us here at
planDisney. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
