Welcome to planDisney, Jesus. It's so nice that you came to our little corner of the internet to ask your question.
Luke Skywalker once said, "No one’s ever really gone." And
Yoda tells us that we should "rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force." And while that doesn't make the passing of this
Disney Legend any easier, it helps a little bit knowing that whenever you feel alone, you can look up at the night sky at the Great Kings of the Past and know that he's among them, looking down on us from those stars.
While at this time, we are unsure if any official commemoration will be made for
James Earl Jones in the theme parks, that doesn't mean that you can't honor his memory yourself. When visiting
Disney's Hollywood Studios, take a picture with
Darth Vader at
Star Wars Launch Bay. Remember how integral he is to the Disney legacy and the legacy of
The Lion King while you cheer along to the
Festival of the Lion King in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. And raise a lightsaber to his memory while walking through
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
The Lion King recently
celebrated its 30th anniversary. And Mufasa is a huge part of that legacy. In fact, this December, we'll be immersed in his origin story when
Mufasa: The Lion King arrives in theaters. And not only that, it was announced this past August at
D23: The Ultimate Fan Event that
a brand-new ride inspired by The Lion King will be coming to
Disney Adventure World at the
Disneyland Paris Resort! This is just a small testament to
The Lion King's legacy, which would never have been the same without James Earl Jones.
Jesus, enjoy your September trip, and may you smile each time you remember James's enduring legacy as he takes his place in the great circle of life.
I'm here if you have any other questions.
Remember,
Matt
