Hi Tricia,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Hearing that you have been busy making
Advanced Dining Reservations makes me happy!
You might be relieved to know that you are not the only one with this kind of dilemma! We faced a similar issue last year when making advanced dining reservations for Animal Kingdom before the times for the Jungle Book: Alive With Magic show were released.
When I checked times for the
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular show, I was able to check through the end of April. The show is scheduled nightly at the moment and is generally listed as starting at 9:00 p.m. in April. Since you are going in August, I suggest you make your dining reservations no later than 6:00 p.m. at a restaurant in Disney's Hollywood Studios on the night you want to see the show. Given the size of your party, I also suggest that you arrive to the dining venue at least 15 minutes prior to the reservation time. Be advised that my estimate assumes it will take you about two hours to dine! Remember that shows and experiences can change so check again as your trip dates get closer.
If you need to save time while dining, I have always found it helpful to have our family review the menus before we arrive at the restaurant. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, 50's Primetime Café is one of our favorite restaurants. The
Dinner Menu includes my favorite - Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken!
May the Force be with you as you plan!
