We are visiting with our grandchild who is under three. Adults all have tickets and entry reservations. Do we just show our tickets and reservation information at the gate? Do we need to show proof of age for our grandchild?

Hey there, hi there, Angela! Welcome to planDisney. We love helping Guests get the answers to all of their planning questions.

How special! I am so excited to hear that you are about to have a magical visit with your grandchild! I am happy to share that you are correct. You do not need to make a reservation or do anything in advance to bring your grandchild who is under 3 into the parks with you. Guests under the age of 3 are speical Guests of the Mickey. There is no expectation to bring proof of age for your grandchild. I am so excited for you to share this special day with your grandchild. I will never forget my kids' first visits and their eyes of wonder and amazement as they experienced it all.

While Guests under 3 do not require tickets or reservations, if you plan to make any dining reservations, be sure to include them in the count for your party. I usually stuck to quick service locations when they were little, and oh, how I wish we had mobile ordering back then! I love this feature in the Disneyland app, and I can only imagine how helpful it is to not have to wait in line to order with littles. For dining reservations, I love Goofy's Kitchen for a chance to see characters dance by your table and a wide variety of food for everyone to enjoy.

Angela, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope your visit is full of magical memories!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
