Greetings, Amanda! Welcome to planDisney!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is a great choice for your Walt Disney World Resort getaway! In fact, it is our family’s favorite hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort! We love the proximity to Magic Kingdom Park, the relaxing pools (with nearby food and drinks), and the variety of Disney Dining options available on-site! We also enjoy just visiting the other resorts along the Monorail loop!
1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is still temporarily unavailable. There have been no announcements regarding a reopening timeline. Keep checking the Walt Disney World Resort website for updates. Of course, you are welcome to send follow-up questions to planDisney!
There is no other character dining available at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. However, there are some great character dining opportunities just a Monorail ride away! Hop the Monorail at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for a quick ride to Disney’s Contemporary Resort! Here you will find
Chef Mickey’s which is available for character dining at both breakfast (my favorite) and dinner (also delicious)! Of course, you can stay on the Monorail to visit Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort where you will find Lilo and Stitch (as well as some other favorite characters) hosting breakfast at
'Ohana!
Amanda, both character dining options are very popular! Be sure to book them as quickly as possible! Because you are staying as a Guest of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can make your dining reservations 60 days in advance of your vacation arrival date! You can make reservations for up to 10 days of your vacation beginning at that 60 day mark! That’s one of the nice
benefits for Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel!
One final PRO TIP for you, Amanda, as a Guest of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, you are going to be able to take advantage of the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours benefit! This perk is available for Guests staying in deluxe resort accommodations! On select nights, at select parks, you will be able to remain in the parks for additional time after the park closes to Guests! This is one of my favorite benefits of staying at a deluxe resort hotel!
Happy Planning!
Jon
