Hi, Heidi, and welcome back to planDisney! Your trip is so close, and based on your question, it sounds like you have some serious fun lined up! I love this question so much because on my last trip, my top priorities were these exact two spaces, which, in my opinion, are fantastic additions to both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.
As you know,
The Beak and Barrel is
Magic Kingdom's first lounge that serves alcoholic beverages to Guests 21 years of age and over, yet it's still very family friendly. In addition to the themed cocktails, they also have some themed mocktails. The entire space is almost as much of a show as it is a bar. There are animatronics, special lighting and sound effects and Cast Members who play along. It's also highly immersive in that there are so many details, I could wander around for hours and still not catch everything. That just means I'll need to make multiple trips. Hahahahaha! The Beak and Barrel doesn't have a full bar, however, and all cocktails and mocktails are made in batches ready to serve. This means off-menu requests may not be possible, although I can confirm that Coke products are available.
GEO-82 is
EPCOT's newest, and only, space just for adults. It's absolutely gorgeous with spectacular park views. I was so impressed by how the designers perfectly captured the classic EPCOT nostalgia while modernizing it as well. One of the coolest features is that at night, the lighting syncs with that of the park, allowing the space to seamlessly blend with the outdoor aesthetics. Touches like these truly make Walt Disney World The Most Magical Place on Earth. Unlike The Beak and Barrel, GEO-82 does have a full bar, although still somewhat limited. They will be able to make anything for you as long as they have the ingredients on hand, and I'm happy to share that Coke products are available as well.
Speaking of EPCOT, did you know that
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival will be in full bloom while you're there? It opens March 4 and runs until June 1. I hope you have time to admire the beautiful topiaries all around the park or sample some food and beverage offerings from the Outdoor Kitchens. Keep an eye out for the
Disney Parks Blog. That's where they'll soon publish the Foodie Guide with the menus.
Heidi, I hope you'll enjoy these two new additions and that you'll find drinks you love. Please bring any other planning questions you have back to us here at planDisney.
Have a magical trip!
Melanie
