Hi there, Joseph! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Ah, the wilderness… you must be so excited for your upcoming Disney adventures to begin! Combining camping with Walt Disney World -- what could be better?
You are correct in that the tent campsites at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort do not have sewer hookups; only the full hook-up or preferred/premium campsites do. There are
fully equipped comfort stations for your and your family’s use throughout the campsite areas, and these are found close to the tent loops. I see why you'd want to minimize exposures, but please know that especially during these unprecedented times Walt Disney World is implementing extra sanitizing efforts in order to ensure the health and safety of all Guests. This includes extra attention being given to high-traffic areas like shared restrooms. You can read all about these and other procedures related to the Disney Parks reopening on the
Experience Updates pages.
That being said, while staying at a tent campsite, your waste tank will most likely need to be disposed of at another approved location in the area, or returned home with you after your vacation. Some Guests have reported that if there is an empty campsite with sewage access, they have been granted permission to use it by a Cast Member, but this is not guaranteed. You may also try to upgrade your campsite by
calling the Disney Reservations line prior to your vacation.
Joseph, I wish you an incredible vacation in the wilderness, and please come back and see us again real soon, ya hear?
Clara
