Visiting Food & Wine Festival - first time to that event - 25th visit to DISNEYWORLD - any suggestions family of 3 traveling - staying at Dolphin Hotel. Thank you!

    Hi Donella,

You are heading to Walt Disney World for one of my favorite events of the year! The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival has so much to offer. My family is also a family of three, and we love experiencing this event together.

Your choice of hotel at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is great for this festival. From your hotel, you will be able to take a 10-minute walk and be at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. This will put you right into World Showcase, which is the epicenter of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. There is also a boat you can take if you prefer.

One of my family's favorite activities this festival is to wander around World Showcase and take in the Global Marketplaces. These international kiosks offer small portions of cuisines from around the world. We like to meander from one to another and pick up a couple of items to try and share at each. For the past couple of years, guests have been able to pick up complimentary passports that list the kiosks and items to try at each. There are stickers or stamps to put on the pages once you have visited a Global Marketplace. It is a great souvenir, and my daughter loves filling it in!

I also suggest checking out the Festival Center. Here you will find culinary demonstrations, book signings, and information about the festival. Also, do peruse the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival website. There is information on so many activities, including the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, special dining and celebrity events, and so much more.

Do let us know if you have any further questions, Donella!
