Hello Lynn, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping in with your question. Florida is so beautiful in the fall. The temperatures are starting to cool off from the summer. One of my best recommendations is to try and visit Walt Disney World Resort during a weekday while the families are at school. Summer vacations have finally completed, and you will feel like the park is all yours.
You may need a place to stay since Sarasota is almost 3 hours away. Staying inside the magic is always my recommendation for a couple of reasons. The first is the benefits that come with staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. On check-in days in 2025 guests can visit a waterpark for free. While your room is being prepared, you’ll be able to head to Blizzard Beach or
Typhoon Lagoon for a wet and wild start to your visit. A second reason to stay at a Disney Resort is the proximity to the parks. If you decide to visit
EPCOT or
Hollywood Studios, staying at one of the resorts you can walk straight to these parks is super convenient. One of those resorts looks just like my home state of New Jersey. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has your classic boardwalk attractions at night. There are restaurants, hotdog stands, and of course a bakery that will dazzle your senses. Across the water is Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Beach Club Resort, they are also steps away from both of those parks.
When it comes to park recommendations, I think EPCOT may fit your groups needs the best. Your three-year-old will love Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure where you were shrunk down to the size of a rat and race about in the streets of Paris as well as Gusteau’s restaurant. The adults will love visiting all of the stops and shops around World Showcase. Each of the 11 countries represented, have something to check out while you are walking through. There are different kinds of food to enjoy as well as drinks to match the landscape.
I hope this information is helpful for visiting during your September trip to Florida. If you have any other questions visit us again at

See ya real soon,
