Visiting Florida resident son and grandkids in June . We will buy non-res tickets and buy them Pixie Dust annual passes. Son will be with us 1st week but not there the following week. Can we take grandkids to WDW without him there to show his Florida id?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, John!

You’re as welcome as can be here at planDisney.  If you ask me, the only thing better than taking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is getting to bring your whole family along with you — how exciting that you’ll be experiencing all the magic of The World’s Most Magical Celebration with your son and grandchildren this summer!

I've got some great news –– your son only needs to verify Florida Residency for himself and your grandchildren the first time their Disney Pixie Dust Annual Passes are used, which can be done by showing valid proof of Florida ID at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window.  After those Passes have been verified and activated, your grandchildren will be able to use them without a Florida Resident present.  That means you can bring them along with you for a second week of Walt Disney World fun, even if your son is unable to join you.

If you're visiting EPCOT during your stay, be sure to plan some extra time to check out everything the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival has to offer.  In addition to looking at all the beautiful topiary displays and sampling tasty treats from the Outdoor Kitchens, my kids really enjoy Spike's Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt.  For a small fee, you can purchase a map and stickers to guide you through the hunt and once your challenge is complete, simply return your map to the Disney Traders or World Traveler shops to collect a special surprise.  It's a great way to keep younger Guests engaged so the grown-ups can enjoy the festival, too –– I'm sure your grandchildren will love it!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, John.  I hope your upcoming family visit is filled with pixie-dusted adventures from beginning to end!
