Hi, I am visiting for the first time in Oct this year with my wife and 2 boys (ages 5 & 7) and we are booked into a studio at Disneys Old Key West Resort. Is there any way to request a particular location to stay and if so which are best areas for kids

    Hi Scott,

You are going to love your stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort!
You can find out more about the resort itself and what it has to offer HERE

My family stayed in a Studio in building 48 towards the end of 2009 and thought that it was a great location. It was situated in a very quiet, relaxing area right across the road from South Point Bus Stop and in very close proximity to one of the resorts quiet pools. Hospitality House, the launderette and main pool were only a short Bus ride away.

If you wish to stay in a building close to Hospitality House, then you would need to request either buildings 11, 12, 13, 14 or 23, 24, 25, 26.

My Son who was 6 years old at the time absolutely loved the main pool especially the slide and the Conch Flats Community Hall where you can play table football, table tennis and board games. You can also hire DVDs to take back to your room for a nominal sum.

Something which we all enjoyed was being able to catch a Boat from the resort to Downtown Disney. It is so relaxing and makes a lovely change to getting the Bus everywhere. I would highly recommend that you give it a try during your trip.

I hope that you enjoy your stay in this beautiful Resort as much as we did and have a magical holiday!
