Hi, visiting for the first time in June and will celebrate my daughters 5th birthday. I want to do something special for her, I only just saw the character dining which is now completely booked out. (Very sad) Can you recommend something else please?

    Hi, Sarah!

First, a very happy birthday to your little princess from all of us on the Moms Panel!

Next, consider all options for character dining in Walt Disney World during  your trip. Look for dining during the lunch hours, which may not fill up as quickly as breakfast or dinner slot, and look at character dining locations which are located in a WDW resort, rather than a park, as these sometimes book up more slowly, too. Call (407) WDW-DINE for reservation suggestions.

Another way to celebrate your daughter's big day may be to book a Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage where you'll get a fantastic, water view of WIshes Nighttime Spectacular after a character meet 'n' greet and dessert as well. You could also book a magical makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, at either Magic Kingdom or Downtown Disney, where your little one will receive the royal treatment by a Fairy Godmother-in-training.

Other celebrations include a birthday delivery from Disney Floral & Gifts or having a special customized cake delivered at the end of a meal at a Walt Disney World restaurant. There are other great ideas for celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World, too, but my favorite is the complimentary Celebration Recognition Button; what a great way to feel special all day!

Best wishes for a spectacular visit, Sarah! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
