Hello! - We are visiting in February and hoping to score a discount as a Disney Visa Cardmember. If the Card is in my mother's name, and the vacation package is in my name (she is a listed guest), will we still be able to apply her discount code?

    Hi Ashley,

I'm a huge fan of the Chase Disney Visa Card. I have used mine for years and I can only imagine how much money it has saved me. I think you're very wise to pay for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package with your mother's Visa. Did you know that you can pay off that vacation interest free over six months if the entire package is placed on the card? I love this feature. When we travel with Adventures by Disney, we always take advantage of this generous benefit. And it's truly delightful to get a percentage of our purchase back in Disney dollars that we can use toward our next vacation or to renew my Annual Pass. It's definitely a "win-win situation."

Your mother should be able to get her discount by putting the vacation on her credit card as long as the original reservation and deposit were made with that card. In my experience, you don't get the benefit of delayed, interest-free payments or discounts unless you use the card when the reservation is booked. If you didn't book your February reservation with her Chase Disney Visa Card, I don't think you're out of luck. You'll just need to cancel and re-book that same reservation using her credit card. It's not a difficult process. Call the travel agent or organization with whom you made the original reservation and ask them to make the change.

I do hope your travel dates overlap the 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Arts. With all the creative seminars, food and performances, it's an exciting time to visit.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
