Hello, I am visiting Epcot with my two 7 year old (picky eaters) kids 12/16/12. Park will close at 9 pm. I am trying to make dinner reservations at the restaurant that will allow me to see winter/night time festivities. Sugestions? What time would work?

Hi Tatyana! There are only a couple of World Showcase restaurants that will offer good Illuminations viewing and those might not be culinary choices for picky eaters. Rose and Crown in the United Kingdom and La Hacienda in Mexico both have restaurants that have windows where lucky guests might view from their table. However, there is no guarantee that you would get a window table or that you would have it during the show. I suggest you simply choose a restaurant for dinner that night that meets your kids tastes and then find a good spot around the lagoon to watch. There are many great table service choices as well as some nice quick service spots such as the one at the American Adventure pavilion. There you can find the kids fare such as burgers and hotdogs and chicken.  You can also find a nice variety in the Land pavilion in Future World and then walk over to the edge of the lagoon from there. The Illuminations show is at 9pm when the park closes at that hour so I would aim to eat around 7pm. This gives you time to eat and also about 30 minutes to find a spot to watch. If you would like to walk around a bit make a reservation for 6:30pm. If you are choosing quick service this won't matter as you can eat whenever.

Enjoy the show...it is my favorite!
