Lightning Lane question! How exciting that you will be visiting Walt Disney World before you know it, and during one of my absolute favorite times of year. Magic Kingdom will be dressed in its fall finest, with pumpkins and festive decorations throughout the park. And of course, you will want to leave a little room for some of those seasonal snacks too!
Now, before I get too far ahead of myself, let’s zip right into your question. First, if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, your
Lightning Lane booking window will open 7 days before your arrival date. If you are staying off property, your booking window will open 3 days in advance. On the day you become eligible, you can begin booking Lightning Lanes at 7:00 AM Eastern Time.
Now let’s talk strategy! I personally like to book Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions first since those can include some of the most popular rides, like
Guardians of the Galaxy or my daughter’s all-time favorite,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Once I have those secured, I go back and book my
Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections.
One of my favorite things about Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that you can modify your selections later. So, if another attraction or time pops up that works better for your day, you have some flexibility to change your plans. I love anything that helps make a Disney day feel a little less like a race against the clock!
And while you are visiting, be sure to spend some time at the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. It's a fun way to try foods from around the world and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
