We are visiting in early February with our extended family (19 in total). Our family unexpectedly has the opportunity to adopt a newborn. We are THRILLED but wondering how this will impact our trip (room and dining reservations are made.) Where to start?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erin!

Congratulations on the new addition to your family - how wonderful! Be sure to pick complimentary Celebration Buttons from theme park Guest Relations so Cast Members and other Guests can help your family celebration too! Your little person will need to be added to your reservations. When making large reservation modifications, I like to call reservations to speak with Cast Members directly so they can help me make the required modifications. Based on this question you asked us previously, you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. So for your hotel reservation, I suggest you call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations so they can help you update the room occupancy of your reservation to include your new family member. Each room does have maximum occupancy requirements, so there may need to be some room assignment shuffling to accommodate the new little Mouseketeer.

Your entire party should also be included on your dining reservations. This will ensure you have plenty of room for the baby at the table without being too squished and allow the restaurant to remain below maximum occupancy requirements. I recommend calling Dining Reservations, explaining the situation and having them help you adjust your reservations. These Cast Members have worked magic for my family when my dad surprised us and joined us on our trip at the last minute.

From everyone at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, a huge CONGRATS again! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
