I am visiting DW with a 4 year old, 6 year old, and 17 month old. Where is the best place to stay? I think the boys would like the new animation resort best (based on theme and decor) but I think the most convenient would be a resort with a monorail.

Hi Michelle!  I feel that your final decision about a resort will end up being about the budget. The Polynesian resort is a great pick for families with children who want to be on the monorail system and close to the Magic Kingdom park. It is themed for the islands and the pool is wonderful with slides and decor and fun for the kids and adults. The beach allows children to play in the sand (no swimming off the beach) and parents to relax in the hammocks. At night you can head to the beach to watch the beautiful fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. Transportation is easy from this location and you take boats, buses, or monorail to reach any destination you need.

The new Art of Animation resort is a winner too. The decor is themed around some of Disney's biggest movie hits and the bright colors appeal to the younger generation. The main pool has added new technology and where you don't have a slide you have underwater talking and music! If you book a family suite this will give you a separate bedroom and two baths making this another reason to head there. The difference in cost will be quite a bit so you are now just having to decide what your budget is happy with. You can't go wrong at either location. You give up things at both so it is time to sit and prioritize what is most important. When you do that  clear winner will likely be seen!
