We are visiting DW sept. 17-21 I saw that Mickey's not so scary halloween will take place the evening of the 18th should we avoid MK all day? Will there be a big crowd? We do not have hopper.

    Hi Alexa!

If you don't have the park hopper option on your tickets, I would advise you to visit a different park on the day that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is being held. The main reason is because the park will close at 7:00 to everyone who doesn't have a ticket to the party. If you were at the Magic Kingdom, then you wouldn't be able to visit another park for the remainder of your evening.

Guests that have a ticket to the party can begin arriving at 4:00. In my experience the crowds are no busier than usual in the morning and early afternoon, but do pick up after 4:00 until the party begins at 7:00.

If you do choose to visit the Magic Kingdom on a party day, there are plenty of things to do in the evening instead of going to another park. You could have dinner at one of the nearby resorts or you could take a trip to Downtown Disney for some shopping. You could also head back to your resort for a dip in the pool and a nice, relaxing night.

I hope this helps! Have a wonderful vacation!
