Hi, we are visiting DW for a quick visit in May to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday! What restaurants can we best see the fireworks? I am holding Ohana one night and California Grill for an other? I tried to get the Dessert Party but none available. TIA

    Hi John,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

Although ‘Ohana is one of my favourite dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort, my absolute favourite is probably California Grill. If you can only do one of those two experiences, I would definitely pick the latter as the place to celebrate your husband’s milestone birthday. (In fact, I would even pick it over any one of the dessert parties offered at Magic Kingdom Park!)

From the delicious food, to the extensive wine list, almost every item on California Grill’s menu is a winner. Plus, the real showstopper is definitely the view that you have of Magic Kingdom Park and its nightly fireworks spectacular. You’ll have a truly unique and amazing view of the fireworks display, either right from your table or on the restaurant’s Observation Deck. I’ve seen Wishes from ‘Ohana and view really doesn’t compare to the one you get at California Grill.

I hope my answer helps you plan your May birthday getaway! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. And Happy Birthday to your husband, in advance!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
