    hello all! We are visiting DW next month and just checking if we can still take a boat from WL to the contemporary. thank you!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Brittany! 

    I'm so excited to be answering your question today! You won't believe it, but I'm at Walt Disney World® Resort as I type and did the very thing you are asking about just this afternoon. How fun is that?! 

    Yes! Guests are still able to utilize boat transportation from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Look for the Blue Flag Launch when you arrive at the Wilderness Lodge's Dock - it was on the righthand side of the dock this afternoon. You will first journey to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground with continuing service to Disney's Contemporary Resort. 

    Here is a fun tidbit I learned from Kevin, our boat pilot; If you sit on the right side of the boat when facing the front, you'll pass relatively close to River Country, Walt Disney World® Resort's first water park. As you pass, look for a cypress tree that has white tennis shoes hanging all over it. When the boat pilots retire, they throw their work shoes on that tree! I love knowing about those little details.
