Hello! We will be visiting DW MK on a day with extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests (not us, staying off property). Park closing is currently posted as 9pm. Will we have to be physically out of the park at 9pm?

Hi Abby! Your magical visit is just one month away! I hope you’ve got your “countdown to Disney” started!

The posted park closing time doesn’t necessarily mean that you must be out of the park by that particular time. For example, if you are waiting in line to enjoy an attraction and it is park closing time, you can remain in line until you’ve had a chance to experience the attraction. After you’ve enjoyed the attraction, then you will need to begin making your way toward the park exit.

Guests who remain in the Disney Parks, after the posted closing time, when the park remains open for the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours benefit for deluxe resort Guests, will occasionally be asked to provide evidence of their resort. This can be done through your MagicBand or My Disney Experience app. Guests not staying in a deluxe resort hotel will be (politely) directed to begin making their way toward the park exit.

Abby, I hope you have an amazing visit next month! Enjoy Magic Kingdom Park!

    Dreams do come true!
