Hi Ami, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.
I love being able to leave my camera at home and let
Disney’s PhotoPass® Photographers capture all my magical memories during my vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Memory Maker is the product that allows you to edit, crop, download and share every magical experience. You will have a PhotoPass Card that is included with your Memory Maker. A PhotoPass Photographer will scan it after taking your family’s photo. You can also use this card to capture your ride photos by touching the card to the PhotoPass touch point beneath your photo. These photos are only available for a short amount of time, if you have your card in a secure place, you may not be able to access it before your photo disappears and moves on to the next group of guests.
I would suggest purchasing a
MagicBand online or in the parks, for any adult who will be riding with members of your group. You will need to link this MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account to allow your photos to link to your Memory Maker. This will also allow you to capture some onboard video for several attractions. It will also make it easier to add your ride photos, by tapping your MagicBand to the PhotoPass touch point under your photo. Remember to download and share your photos before they expire. You can also take advantage of ordering an archive DVD of all your photo memories and receive discounts on reprints of photos. You can also use your
MagicBand to enter theme parks and redeem any FastPass+ selections too.
Say cheese,
Andrea
