We are visiting DW 12/13-12/19 (my husband, myself and sons, ages5 and 3 yr old twins.) Was thinking about doing the pirate league. Is it worth the $50 for each child? Or would you recommend just bringing some pirate tatoos, etc with us to DW?

As a mom on a budget, I'd have to ask myself the same thing.

However, after experiencing Pirates League last month FIRSTHAND, I can say I've spent more money on things my boys rarely played with and got a lot less enjoyment out of...

To me, my money was not only for the makeover itself, but for the experience.  The cast members truly provide a memorable experience, too, as they talk in their best pirate drawl.  From your sons getting their new "pirate name" to the makeover and visit to the "secret room" for some "booty," they'll look on it fondly for years to come, I imagine.  That, to me, makes it worth the money.

(And somehow, putting on a tattoo in your hotel room, just wouldn't have the same long-term impact.)

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
