Hello! We will be visiting DW and just booked our dining. I went with 50's Prime Time the day we are at HS but keep reading it is not a good choice on the dining plan. Thinking now about Cape May or Hollywood & Vine?

    Hello Lyndsay!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

My family really enjoys adding a Disney Dining Plan to our Magic Your Way Vacation Package when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. I have to say that I love the feeling of not worrying about our meals because they are already paid for. In addition, dining plans are so convenient and there are several amazing participating locations to choose from.

I personally enjoy 50’s Prime Time Café for its environment that takes you back to a home kitchen from the 50’s with and great interaction with Cast Members. Your server becomes your parent, and really makes sure that you eat your vegetables! If you like comfort food, relieving the good old days, and a fun and themed meal, then this is a great dining destination.

However, I feel that character dining allows you to make the most of your Disney Dining Plan entitlements. Hollywood & Vine offers a very good breakfast where you can dine in the company of Disney Junior pals, and we had a great time at this restaurant during our last visit. However, I highly recommend making breakfast reservations at Cape May Cafe to take advantage of your credits. This is my family’s favorite character breakfast. Besides the interaction with Minnie and friends all dressed up in their cute beach attire, the food is also delicious! We prefer their breakfast menu over Hollywood & Vine’s, and just love taking the water taxi over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios after we are finished.

I hope this helps you while planning, Lyndsay! Please, stop by real soon if you have additional questions.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
