We are visiting during Christmas time. Wondering if it would be silly to visit a water park during December although it is Florida. Do you think it's a good idea?

Brrrr Michael!  Just kidding but I am a warm water kind of person that needs the pools to be about bathtub temperature!

The Disney pools, including the water parks, are all heated to about 82 degrees year round.  The month of December can be warm or it can be quite cool. The water itself would be ok but it is the air temperature that makes many guests shy away from the water parks during the winter months.  The great slides and rides all require you to walk out of the water and in a line so if the air is cool then you will most likely be uncomfortable between rides.

The parks are generally not crowded at this time of year and I suggest you pencil it into your plans. You can make some backup arrangements and decide once you are there whether the weather is working in your favor to spend a day at a water park.
