We are visiting downtown Disney for my bday and got a hotel reservation at our regular place on Harbor Blvd. Can we enter from that side or do we have to walk around to the Disneyland Dr side to enter?

    Happy Birthday, Dani!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question!

I’m so happy to hear that you’re celebrating with a visit to the Downtown Disney District! Even though the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort remain closed, there is plenty to see and do including a visit to Buena Vista Street! Have you visited the Downtown Disney District recently? If not, let me tell you what to expect! Upon arrival, all Guests are required to undergo a temperature screening prior to entering the Downtown Disney District. Next, you’ll be required to pass through a security screening. And, don’t forget that in order to gain admission, all Guests age 2 and older are required to wear a face covering that is secured with ties or ear loops. Guests may only remove their face covering while actively eating or drinking outside.

Guests are able to enter the Downtown Disney District from either the West Entrance near the Disneyland Hotel or the East Entrance off of Harbor Blvd. I recently visited the Downtown Disney District and I entered from the Harbor Blvd Entrance. You’ll undergo the same health and security screening no matter which location you enter.

From all of us here at planDisney, we wish you a very Happy Birthday!
