Hello, We're visiting DL/CA in December. I'm trying to get all my family linked to each others accounts so we can all book events together. I've linked the tickets to my account, but how do I share that info with my family traveling with me?

Hey there, hi there, Doug! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your planning question.

You have really asked a great question regarding linking accounts to share information with your family. Unfortunately, linking accounts isn't available at Disneyland Resort like it is at Walt Disney World Resort. However, I'd be happy to share with you how I navigate this when going with family or friends.

It sounds like you have already done my first recommendation and that is for one person in your party to link all of the tickets to their account if possible. I always like to have someone as a backup to have all of the tickets together. This will also make picking Lightning Lane selections for the whole party with one easy step rather than everyone trying to book the same return time individually if you will be using Disney Genie+ service. Then I suggest that you have each family/household create their own Disney account and link their tickets to their accounts on the Disneyland app. Tickets can be linked to more than one account without issue. This gives each family access to their own tickets if they choose to split up. It's also important for them to have their own accounts so that they can mobile order meals or snacks and make store purchases through the Disneyland app on their own account.

For things like dining reservations, only one Disney account will need to make the reservation, and having all of the tickets on their account isn't necessary. Anyone can hold that reservation and they will be the ones who will check you in. These can be made 60 days prior to the visit date.

Doug, thanks again for stopping by. We hope you have a magical holiday visit. Please bring us any other planning questions you might have along the way!
