Hi, Irene!
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about exploring the
Disneyland Resort with your children.
Children ages 7 and older may board an attraction alone, so your oldest child can experience attractions while you wait with your youngest if he or she is not tall enough to ride. With the
Rider Switch system, one adult or supervising Guest can wait with non-riders who don’t meet the height requirement while the rest of the party boards an attraction. They then switch to allow the supervising Guest to experience the attraction without waiting in the regular queue again. However, the supervising Guest must be 14 years of age or older, so I’m afraid your 10-year-old can’t fill this role just yet.
However, I think you’ll be pleased by how many attractions you can enjoy as a family. If there is no minimum height requirement for an attraction, then it’s safe for your 4-year-old to ride with you! Visit the
online attractions page and click the height drop-down list to select your little one’s height so you can view all the attractions that might be suitable for him or her. For example, Autopia at Disneyland Park and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters at Disney California Adventure Park both have a minimum height requirement of only 32 inches.
I hope this information is helpful, Irene. Please visit us again with any other questions you may have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
