Hey there, Melissa!
Welcome to planDisney! You are heading for a very merry Christmas season, how exciting! It's great that you already have dining reservations, that's a wonderful method for taking a break during busy park days. You sound like an amazing planner!
When the Disneyland Resort published
park hopping updates earlier this year on the Disney Parks Blog they reminded guests that park hopping is subject to that park's capacity limitations, operational hours, or closures and isn't guaranteed. So it is possible that the parks could hit their capacity limits and that would make it so you could not park hop, even with reservations.
However, I wouldn't stress about park capacity too much. Thanks to
theme park reservations, it's much more rare for the parks to hit that limit. If you do want to park hop, it's a good idea to ask a Cast Member near Guest Relations (close to the entrance and exit in both theme parks) if there are any capacity concerns that day. I also noticed that all
Magic Key passes are blocked out during the week around Christmas, so that will help manage park capacity as well. Could the parks hit capacity? Always. Is it likely? Certainly not as likely as it used to be!
Some things that will be super popular during your visit are holiday snacks and treats! Check out the
Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide to help you find the unique options that you don't want to miss. The Galactic Holiday Punch is a favorite of mine! Happily, many of these items are available through
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering on the
Disneyland Mobile App. You may even be able to order a few of the holiday items like character sippers and insulated cups through the app! Check the app for ordering return times early in the day, because popular times do fill up.
Now that Halloween is over it feels like Christmas is just around the corner...and that means your trip is, too! Thanks again for your question, Melissa. If we can help with other planning questions I hope you'll stop by again!
Keep moving forward!
